Big news coming out of the Middle East and Australia today: Their respective Toyota offices have officially opened the order forms for the new Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid.
This new LC packs the same powertrain as the locally available Lexus LX700h, featuring a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 457hp and 790Nm of torque, which is then mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. With this hybrid system, the LC Hybrid is the most powerful iteration in the nameplate’s history.

The LC Hybrid is also being offered in a GR Sport trim that comes with an improved electronic-kinetic dynamic suspension system and a lot more good stuff from Toyota Gazoo Racing. This includes GR-Sport off-road bumpers, sportier 18-inch wheels, and GR Sport-designed seats for the driver and front passenger.

It looks like Toyota chose the Middle East and Australia as the introductory markets to show off the LC Hybrid’s capabilities in various weather and road conditions. The new LC features five customizable drive modes, along with what Toyota calls an ‘Auto Multi-Terrain Select,’ which should be able to identify whether the LC Hybrid is driving on rock, sand, mud, or dirt, and then adjust its drive train accordingly. It’s then boosted by a ‘Multi-Terrain Monitor’ that displays an accurate reading of what the LC Hybrid is driving over.

For urban driving, the LC Hybrid is advertised with Toyota Safety Sense 3, which comes with dynamic radar cruise control for adaptable highway driving. Pre-collision warning and lane-assist functions are also standard.
With the Philippines being one of the largest markets for the Toyota Land Cruiser, we can confidently hope that the LC Hybrid will make its way to our roads shortly after its debut in the Middle East and Australia. It’s slated to drop sometime in the first quarter of 2026, with prices in the Middle East starting at AED389,900 (P5.930 million before taxes).
