About a month ago, Thai automotive news sites reported that the ASEAN-Spec Toyota Corolla Cross facelift would make its debut in February. Now, the time has come, and it it’s safe to say that those reports were accurate.

Toyota Motor Thailand recently released a teaser campaign for the small crossover. Not only that, the company has also announced its launch date. Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars on February 8, 2024.

Judging by the teaser video, we can expect the regional version of the new Corolla Cross to have new headlight clusters with redesigned patterns. Other than that, it’s hard to tell what kind of changes were made to the car. Another angle shows the side profile of the Corolla Cross that appears largely unchanged.

That said, we do see similarities with the Japanese and Australian market model of the Corolla Cross. The sequential light pattern on the headlight seems to confirm that. With that, it’s possible that the Southeast Asian models will take several cues from those versions.

Other updates we could expect? In other countries, the small crossover received a fully digital instrument cluster, so there’s a good chance the regional version gets it too. Same goes for the electronic parking brake, updated center stack, new wheels, and an upgraded JBL audio system for select variants. As for the infotainment system, it will likely depend on local product planners.

It is said that the new Toyota Corolla Cross will have updates in the powertrain department as well. That bit has yet to be confirmed by the company, and it won’t be long until we find out.
