With its straight-edged looks and box-flared arches, the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is practically begging to be modded. Being an SUV, it’s inevitable we’ll see several off-road builds down the line.

Of course, not everyone who buys an SUV wants to turn it into an overlander. There is still a unique niche that would go for the VIP look. That’s exactly who Modellista would like to serve with its latest kit for the Prado.

Modellista is one of Toyota’s many in-house aftermarket divisions. It’s more focused on aesthetics more than anything else, and they’re keen to make the all-new Prado stand out even more.

At the front, there’s what’s called a ‘signature illumination blade’ that gives the SUV additional LED daytime running lights. It then gains bumper guards for the front and rear. Of course, Modellista would still like Prado owners to take their SUVs off-road, so it can also be fitted with a skid plate. Sure, it’s bling, but it’s also purposeful.

Owners can also specify over fenders, and can be ordered in body color, black, or with a metallic finish. Fender garnishes and thick side moldings jazz up the flanks, while the tailgate and bumper guards add more distinction. And for those who really want their SUV to stand out, a larger tailgate spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels are part of the options list.

There are no options for the interior, at least for now. But knowing Modellista, it will have a couple down the line. Expect unique seat trims and dashboard accessories, and maybe some other quirky features like a rear swing out tray to make an appearance.

What Modellista has done is give the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado a VIP look, all while not compromising its off-roading capabilities. It’s just a shame that Modellista isn’t offered in the country, but with the exchange rate in our favor, we’re almost certain that there will be a couple of future owners already stocking up on these goodies.
