Do you miss the FJ Cruiser? So do we. If you aren’t over the fact that Toyota has ceased production of the iconic off-roader, maybe this will cheer you up. A spiritual successor of sorts to the legendary Toyota will be in the country next week.
We’re talking, of course, about the TJ Cruiser concept. The ‘Toolbox Joy’ (yes, that’s what ‘TJ’ stands for) will be on display at the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), where you can check it out in the metal.
The TJ Cruiser made its global debut at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show, intriguing visitors with its boxy design and flexible interior. It runs on a hybrid powertrain, and flaunts an SUV presence with van-like cargo capacity.
“Toyota’s concept car offers the best of both worlds by having a seamless balance of form and function, evident in its square and sturdy body that allows for a fully-maximized cabin space,” Toyota Motor Philippines says. This is about as unique as concept cars come, so be sure to catch it at PIMS 2018.
Also on display at this year’s Toyota booth are the all-new Vios subcompact sedan, the Rush, the best-selling Fortuner, the Innova Touring Sport, and the Prius C. If you’re interested in any of these vheicles, you know where to find them. PIMS 2018 will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from October 24 to 28, 2018. Will we see you there?
