The Philippine National Police in Noveleta, Cavite will now be utilizing the subcompact VinFast VF3 in its patrol operations. Aside from looking adorably aggressive in its police livery, the VF3 also stands as a testament to the township’s commitment to sustainable transportation.
According to VinFast Philippines, Noveleta is the first municipality in CALABARZON to set mobility goals for EV adoption. Along with supporting patrols, these Vietnamese vehicles should help reduce overall fuel consumption and operating costs for the local police force.

The initial VF3s were supplied from VinFast Marikina and Xentro, and more units are expected to come in soon. With that, police officials will be getting a subcompact EV that can drive up to 215km on a full charge, and can power up from 10% to 70% in just 36min with the use of a DC fast charger.

Coming in at 3,190mm long and 1,679mm wide, the VF3 sounds ideal for small provincial roads and tight streets. It also has 16-inch wheels and 175mm of ground clearance. But aside from new police lights and a fresh look, the rest of the VF3 looks to be unchanged.

Elsewhere, VinFast’s tiny EV is also used for law enforcement, albeit with a few modifications. In Indonesia, the country’s National Traffic Police Corps uses the VF3 to transport drone equipment. Its rear cargo area was redesigned to help it squeeze in more gear, while still retaining its subcompact form factor.
It looks like more and more organizations and private owners are hopping on the VF3 bandwagon. VinFast also shared that in the first five months of 2026, 20,231 VF3s were delivered in Vietnam. Interestingly, 4,770 of those sales came just in May. We’ll be on the lookout for the latest sales report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines to see how VinFast has been doing locally this year.
