Xpeng has just announced that it will be arriving in the Philippines sometime in the third quarter of this year. The Chinese carmaker also confirmed that it will launch with two models, and based on the teaser image it shared, one of them could be the all-new Xpeng L03 crossover.
The L03 recently made its global debut in Germany, pulling double duty as an EV fit for both families and younger car buyers. It will also come in two configurations: one with a fully electric powerplant, and another with a range-extended setup. The former is advertised with 520km on a full charge, while the latter is said to have a driving range of over 1,000km.

And like all other Xpeng vehicles, artificial intelligence has been baked into the L03’s system. The carmaker equipped three of its proprietary Turing AI chips into the car, helping it process multiple commands, languages, and voices at once.

Interestingly, Xpeng also collaborated with Google Maps to further refine its in-car navigation and advanced driver-assistance systems. The L03 is said to be the first Chinese vehicle to ship with the Google Maps Software Development Kit—but we wonder if it will still come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

If all of these features make it sound like the L03 is more computer than car, don’t fret—Xpeng hasn’t forgotten about that. We don’t have the official power output at the time of writing, but we know that the L03 uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. Its 0-100kph sprint time is listed at 4.5sec, and it’s said to be fast-charging compliant with a 10-80% charge time of 20min.
There is a dedicated Snow driving mode, and additional traction settings for ‘Slippery’ and ‘Escape.’ We will definitely try those out if the L03 ever makes it to the Philippines. It also boasts an ‘ultra-low’ drag coefficient of 0.228.
This is all wrapped in a fastback-inspired SUV, with 20-inch rollers on each corner. Its T-shaped headlights and single stretched taillight make for a simple yet sporty impression. As we wait for Xpeng Philippines to enter the arena, let us know what you think about the L03 in the comments section.
