We’ve seen the brand, we’ve seen the cars, and we’ve even seen the prices. Now, it’s officially official: Chinese carmaker Xpeng is now in the Philippines.
The automaker enters the market with a bang, with a grand launch held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Xpeng introduced its two newest models, the X9 and L03, as well as its new brand ambassador, actress and television host Anne Curtis.
We’ve tested Xpeng’s vehicles before and have already been familiarized with what the brand has to offer. The X9 is Xpeng’s flagship seven-seater MPV that comes with a fully electric powertrain and an ultra-luxurious interior. The L03, meanwhile, is the more practical electrified sedan with multiple variants available, including a range-extended electric vehicle version for those who still aren’t sold on going fully electric.

Each purchase comes with five years of free roadside assistance, a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an eight-year warranty on its batteries and electric motors. The X9 comes with five years free PMS, while the L03 gets two years’ worth. All EVs also come with 7kW wall chargers, while the L03 REEV gets a 3.5kW portable charger.
“Tonight, Filipino customers saw the full range of choices behind our Philippine debut, from the space and comfort of the Xpeng X9 to the different electric driving options offered by the Xpeng L03,” said Xpeng Philippines country director Katoon Su. “We are pairing these vehicles with comprehensive ownership support and a growing dealer network because the customer experience after the launch matters just as much as the technology presented on stage.”
At its launch, Xpeng Philippines also shared its plans to launch two more new vehicles in the next six months and open eight showrooms across Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao by the end of the year.
