Yes, that’s right: What you see above is indeed another new MPV—the new Zeekr Mix—continuing to prove the popularity of this practical body style.
It’s the fifth production car from the fancy, all-electric Geely sub-brand, and it’s surprisingly cool, sporting a big and boxy, two-tone design. More’s the pity, then, that Zeekr has released very few images after the car’s unveiling at the Auto China 2024 motor show in Beijing.

Still, we know the Mix will be the first car based on the Geely SEA-M platform, and rumor has it that there’s a single motor making around 420hp. Should be plenty to move what is described as an “intelligent living room on wheels.”

Zeekr says the new platform—which comes after a £772-million (around P55.7 billion) investment—allows for flat floors, a super-long wheelbase, a hidden B-pillar, and huge amounts of interior space.
There’ll be infotainment screens for both the driver and the passengers, and there’s talk of multiple seating setups to carry up to six people. Oh, and there’s a funky mismatched door setup, too, with a regular driver’s door plus a sliding rear door on one side, and two sliding doors on the other side that peel away from each other to create a giant opening.

Overall, the Mix is 4.7 meters long, meaning it should take up roughly the same footprint as a BMW 3-Series. Interestingly, though, Zeekr reckons the SEA-M architecture allows for a tiny turning radius of less than five meters thanks to its steer-by-wire capabilities.
Plus, with Zeekr now having official Philippine presence via the Autohub Group, this could actually make it to our shores. For a market that likes MPVs, a fresh new option like this wouldn’t hurt, right?
