September 2011 will go down in Ford Philippines' record books as the company's best month ever with retail sales going up by 57 percent year-over-year to 965 units.
The Fiesta continues to be Ford's top seller with 345 units finding new owners last month. September also marked the model's best monthly performance since its launch late last year.
"It's exciting to see these incredible sales numbers, and particularly the way our customers embrace the all-new Fiesta, which continues to be one of the leaders in the highly competitive small car segment," said Ford Group Philippines’ president, Randy Krieger.
September was also a good month for the Everest with 320 units moving out of the showrooms, up by 47 percent year-over-year and the nameplate's strongest monthly sales since December 2009.
Ford's overall year-to-date sales continues to be strong, rising 45 percent year-over-year to 7,129, making the American carmaker the fastest growing car brand in the Philippines this year.
"These terrific numbers provide us with enormous confidence as we launch the all-new Explorer and gear up for the launch of the all-new Ford Ranger early next year, two vehicles we know that our customers will love," added Krieger.
