The first-ever Subaru Impreza Challenge Davao Leg officially kicked off in Abreeza Mall at 9am with 101 registered participants. Among these challengers, only one Davaoeño--the participant who holds onto his or her designated spot the longest--will move on to the regional final in Singapore.
As Davao City's representative and as one of the Philippines' competitors, the Davao leg winner will do battle with other Asian contenders. He or she will get a chance to win a Subaru Impreza 2.0i six-speed MT.
Motor Image Pilipinas' Mike Luyun and Subaru Davao dealership owner Wally Alvarez were at the venue to witness the event, which uses one unit of the XV and two units of the Forester for the challengers to hold onto.
Will a Davaoeño beat the record of Joberth Estrera, the winner of the first Subaru Impreza Challenge Cebu leg? If you're in Davao City, which is currently celebrating its Kadayawan Festival, feel free to drop by Abreeza Mall to witness the challenge, which will end at 10pm tonight.
