Chery Auto Philippines has officially announced that, as of June 2026, the plug-in hybrid Tiggo rEV has sold over 1,000 units. This milestone effectively makes it the brand’s current best-selling model.
Between January and June this year, the Tiggo rEV has helped Chery shift 931 cars overall, with 220 units in the last month alone. That then makes for a promising 58% year-to-date growth margin, and we still have the rest of 2026 to go.
The plug-in hybrid SUV has gone on an impressive run since its launch in September 2025. It came out of the gate with a competitive P1.528 million price tag, after which it participated in the Department of Energy’s fuel economy run.

There, the Tiggo rEV posted 84.28km/Lge over a 158km drive, leading all plug-in hybrid vehicles. It then finished with the fourth-most efficient performance in the overall event.
Along with great efficiency, the Chinese carmaker says that its SUV also offers considerable performance and comfort. Chery brand head Frank Decloedt explained: “The milestone of over 1,000 Tiggo rEVs on Philippine roads means that more customers are discovering that the Tiggo rEV delivers the right balance of efficiency, performance, comfort, and advanced technology while providing real savings in everyday driving.
“We are grateful for the trust our customers continue to place in the Chery brand, and we remain committed to delivering mobility solutions that make every family journey smarter and more rewarding.”
For the uninitiated, the Tiggo rEV is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 18.66kWh battery. It is advertised with a driving range of 1,400km on a fully charged battery and a single tank of gas.
