Ford Philippines officially launched its new Ford Learning Center in Calamba, Laguna, last week. The new 1,500sqm facility succeeds the American brand’s previous training area in Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati.
The company shares that as the industry shifts towards new energy vehicles, its new facility will help equip its personnel with the needed competencies to handle both combustion and electrified vehicles. Similar facilities have been launched for other important markets in the region, including Thailand and Vietnam.

The facility includes four university style modular classrooms equipped with audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment. In total, more than 100 participants can be accomodated in these classrooms. These are also directly connected to the Learning Center’s workshop, bridging the gap between conceptual and practical learning.

The 451sqm workshop holds seven work bays, each fully equipped with the same hardware found in Ford service facilities. This includes specialized equipment for servicing electrified vehicles, such as the Territory Hybrid and the Mustang Mach-E. The work area is also air-conditioned to maintain a comfortable environment conducive to learning.

These learning areas are supported by equipment storage areas, as well as engine and battery rooms. While the engine room offers learners a closer look at the power units that drive Ford vehicles, the battery room serves as a training area for the safe handling and storage of vehicle batteries.
Learning sessions were already underway during the tour of the facility, both in the classroom and in the workshop. While one class of mechanics was reviewing the process of documenting customer complaints, another group was observing an ongoing demonstration on the engine bay of a stalled Ford Ranger.

Besides mechanics and technicians, other non-technical customer-facing Ford staff will also be trained at the Learning Facility, such as sales personnel. While the lobby area was used for the launch ceremony, it will serve as a simulated showroom during learning sessions.
Ford claims that the facility will be able to support the training of up to 950 employees annually. Other support areas in the facility including meeting rooms and a common dining area.

Ford leadership, local government representatives, and members of the media were present for the facility’s launch. Speaking at the event, Ford Philippines managing director Pedro Simoes said: “The opening of the Learning Center is not just about opening a new building; it is about building the future of Ford in the Philippines. It represents our strong commitment to this market—to our customers, our partners, and our people.”
