When a carmaker offers an extended warranty on its vehicles, it’s a testament to its trust in its product’s reliability. So when a Chinese manufacturer does this—we all know how China cars have always had a bad reputation for being unreliable—best believe it’s a big deal.
Great Wall Motor (GWM), for its part, is rolling out a massive seven-year/200,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty on all its vehicles. This includes the Haval Jolion HEV, Jolion DCT, and H6 HEV, the GWM Cannon, and the Tank 300. How’s that for confidence in a product?

All four models also come with a 10-year/1,000,000km warranty on the powertrain for the first registered owner only. As for the H6 and the Jolion HEVs, those two also get an eight-year/200,000km warranty on the battery and the controller and motor. These warranties are only applicable if owners follow the recommended PMS schedule.

Along with the warranty announcements, Great Wall also confirmed two upcoming models that will be launched in the Philippines at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show: the Haval MengLong SUV and the WEY Gaoshan MPV. No details were revealed yet, though, so we’ll have to wait a bit more before we get more info on these two.
In any case, it’s already shaping up to be quite a busy year for Great Wall. What else would you like to see from the Chinese marque in 2024?
