Hongqi Philippines, under its local distributor, EVOxTerra, has officially entered the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI). With two new models on its roster, the Chinese brand looks to grow progressively in the Philippine market, while promoting the organization’s vision for industry development.

“Joining CAMPI further reinforces Hongqi’s standing as a key player in the EV and automotive industry,” said Rashid Delgado, president of Hongqi Philippines.

“Our focus and advocacies closely align with CAMPI’s priorities on EV growth, road safety, and continuous industry development. We are also preparing to introduce more electrified models to meet the rising demand for premium, reliable, and future-ready vehicles in the Philippine market,” he continued.

We can likely expect those new models to make an appearance at the 10th annual Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), slated for June 2026. For those who don’t know, PIMS is a CAMPI-organized event that takes place every two years. It features the latest vehicles and innovations from the largest brands in the Philippines. The 9th show in 2024 hosted the global debut of Mitsubishi’s DST concept, which developed into the recently launched Destinator SUV.

Earlier this year, CAMPI outlined its goal for the local automotive industry to reach 500,000 units sold—a significant increase from last year’s 467,252 total. As of July 2025, the industry had sold 230,912 units. It is unclear if the half-million target will be accomplished this year, but with a new member on the roster, 2026 could be an even bigger year for CAMPI and the overall industry.
