Remember when MG was revamped and enjoyed newfound success under the management of the Covenant Car Company (TCCCI)? At the time, many saw the turnaround as quite a surprise, seeing the brand as sort of an underdog in the local auto industry.

Well, at the rate MG is expanding in the Philippines, it won’t be long before they’re no longer viewed as a new kid on the block.

MG Philippines is closing 2020 with not one, but three dealership openings: MG North EDSA, MG Otis, and MG Camarines Sur. All three new facilities are expected to make the British nameplate’s lineup—which includes proven sellers like the MG ZS—even more accessible to potential car buyers across the country.

The three new facilities bring the brand’s local dealership count to a solid 34. TCCCI also says that it plans to continue expanding the MG brand next year with even more openings.

“As we continue to expand or our national dealership network, we are committed at MG Philippines to upholding the high standards set by the global MG team, ensuring that the services made available to all our clients are of the same caliber as those in other international MG markets,” MG Philippines CEO Alberto Arcilla said in a statement.

“Our goal, as we strengthen our dealership network and increase the reach of the MG brand to more locales around the Philippines, is twofold: first, to provide reliable aftersales services for the growing number of MG vehicles on our roads; and second, to make MG more accessible in various locations around the country,” he added.

MG is shaping up to be a brand worth watching next year. Have you ever considered buying one of its vehicles? Let us know in the comments.
