Mini has marked two production milestones: its three-millionth car since 2001 and its two-millionth international export unit.
The Mini brand was relaunched by the BMW Group in 2001, after it had been acquired from the Rover Group in 1994. And from just one model at the time of the relaunch, the lineup has now grown to seven models, with the cars being sold in more than 110 markets.
According to Mini, the three-millionth milestone unit is a five-door Cooper S hatchback with a special exterior design that "celebrates its heritage and its British roots." As for the two-millionth export unit, it is a Volcanic Orange Mini hatchback that is now on its way to a customer in Japan.
