Being able to “afford” a car means more than just having the money to pay for it in cash or the capacity to purchase it via a bank loan. Dealing with the SRP is merely the beginning—the expenses will only keep coming after you’ve purchased your vehicle.

Car ownership also includes regular maintenance and occasional repairs, which don’t always come cheap, and it’s something a lot of people tend to overlook. This is something Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) wants to help its customers with, as the carmaker has just launched its new Prepaid Maintenance Parts (PMP) Package.

It’s as the name suggests: This program gives customers the option to pay for their vehicles’ maintenance and other aftersales needs in advance. The catch? Paying in advance will entitle you to discounts.

There are three types of PMP Package plans: Standard, Premium, and Elite. Standard includes a one-year coverage with a 15% discount on parts, while Premium covers two years with a 20% discount. Lastly, Elite is a three-year package that comes with a 25% discount. All of these plans also include Price Protect Advantage, which shields customers from possible increases in parts and service costs down the line.

Pricing options will vary depending on the vehicle type, so it’ll be best for interested customers to consult with their trusted dealerships for more info. MMPC also says these PMP Packages can be further personalized to tailor to specific customers’ needs.

All customers who purchase a brand-new vehicle starting July 1, 2025 can avail of the PMP Package from the point of sale or during the first preventive maintenance service up to the next 10,000km PMS. The PMP Packages can also be claimed at any authorized MMPC service center nationwide.

“The Prepaid Maintenance Parts Package is an easy and practical way for vehicle owners to save on maintenance costs and keep their car in top condition,” said MMPC EVP for aftersales Toko Imai. By offering this package nationwide, we are reaffirming our commitment to customer satisfaction and to delivering a worry-free ownership experience.”
