The best-selling brand in the Philippines in 2025 was Toyota, but the best-selling model last year was a Mitsubishi.
The Mitsubishi Xpander is now officially the Philippines’ bestseller with 28,081 units sold. For comparison, Toyota Motor Philippines’ top-selling model was the Vios with 27,811 units sold. Meanwhile, the Xpander’s rival in the Avanza logged 24,704 unit sales last year. The Xpander was also officially the best-selling MPV in the market for the third straight year.

To mark the occasion, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is rolling out a discount for the famed MPV. It is offering up to P120,000 off on the Xpander Cross with a free one-month amortization, and up to P100,000 off on the Xpander.

“The Mitsubishi Xpander was designed with family lifestyles in mind, from daily city driving to family road trips,” said MMPC president and CEO Ritsu Imaeda. “Apart from the Mitsubishi brand being a trusted car brand by Filipino families for six decades, we believe that Xpander’s timeless aesthetic appeal, unmatched comfort both for driver and passengers, efficient performance, and worry-free ownership support thru our aftersales and dealer network are the perfect recipe for a lifetime companion which is what Filipinos are looking for.”
It has been nearly a decade since the Mitsubishi Xpander first arrived in the Philippines. Since then, it has received a few refreshes and updates, the last of which was back in August 2025. This latest iteration of the MPV now adds Active Yaw Control to the entire range, a feature that was once only available in the range-topping Xpander Cross.
