Residents of Pasay and Manila can begin looking forward to a more up-to-date Toyota experience, as last week marked the beginning of construction for the all-new Toyota Manila Bay dealership.
The ground-breaking ceremony, which was witnessed by Toyota Motor Philippines vice chairman Alfred Ty along with a handful of Toyota Manila Bay directors and officers, was held last October 12.
Toyota Manila Bay began its operations in 1999, and is currently one of five Toyota dealerships under a joint venture between GT Capital Holdings and Mitsui & Co. Ltd.
The new dealership will stand on a 5,000sqm plot of property along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, just a short distance from its existing location. The new structure has been designed to take the environment into account as well as to be a more resource-efficient facility. It will boast a larger capacity and safer and more modern amenities for both customers and employees.
The new Toyota Manila Bay is set to become one of the biggest dealerships in the Philippines. The continued growth of car companies and dealer locations in the country can only mean good things for prospective car buyers. As for the traffic? Maybe not so much. If only our roads grew at the same rate.
