The Department of Energy directly announced the update for fuel price movements this week. While the past two weeks have seen rollbacks across the board to curb the massive jump in prices since hostilities in the Middle East broke out, movements this week are mixed.

For the week of April 27 to March 4, 2026diesel prices will roll back by at least P12.94 per liter, while gasoline will go up by P0.53 per liter. Finally, kerosene will also drop by P15.71 per liter.

Tensions in the Middle East continue to dictate market prices. Despite an ongoing extended ceasefire, uncertainty over fruitful negotiations and the continued American blockade of the Strait of Hormuz have somewhat slowed down the downward trajectory of prices.

Oil players in the Philippines are also doing what they can to alleviate prices for key consumers of gas and diesel as the government seems to take a firm stance against fully suspending excise taxes for fuel. Shell, in particular, has offered P5 off per liter for a limited time.

The Philippines’ fuel supply remains stable, according to government reports, with average fuel supply across all categories now sitting at 54 days and being replenished as available stock is consumed.
