SM Prime recently announced its plan to build a pedestrian link connecting the LRT-2 Antipolo Station and SM Masinag. The company is investing more than P300 million into this project.
Once completed, commuters will have a more convenient way to access LRT-2 Antipolo that also shields them from the weather. Other planned features include ramps and elevators for accessibility, and CCTV cameras for security.

Construction of the pedestrian link between LRT-2 Antipolo and SM Masinag is set to begin sometime in the second quarter of this year and is projected to take six months to complete.

This project uses the ‘concourse’ model—first seen in the SM North EDSA Busway Concourse that opened last year—designed to improve the flow of foot traffic as well as the overall commuter experience. The SM Megamall Concourse of the EDSA Busway is also currently under construction, with the northbound segment set to open by the end of Q1 2026.

This project is being carried out in partnership with local government agencies, including the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), which operates the LRT-2 line. SM Prime and the MMDA have worked together in the past, with initiatives like the AI-powered real-time traffic information system offered in select malls. LRTA will also work with SM Prime for the day-to-day operation of the pedestrian link once operational.
