Toyota Motor Philippines has just started qualifiers for its 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship this August. The sim racing tournament brings motorsports to a broader audience, with aspiring racers getting the chance to showcase their skills in competitive virtual racing, and potentially bring their talents to a real-life track.

The tournament’s previous winners have gone on to compete at the TGR Philippine Cup, demonstrating an effective translation of sim racing skills to real-world environments. If you want to participate, there are two ways to do so. If you have a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, a copy of Gran Turismo 7, and a PS Plus subscription, you can do an online qualifier by registering here to secure a schedule.

Qualifying will be held from August 17 to September 13. Unlike last year, which put all participants in a single class, this year will see two classes to encourage younger racers to pursue motorsports. The Junior Class will organize participants aged 18 and below, while those aged 19 and above can join the Sporting Class

The top 10 fastest players of both classes will go to the National Finals, where they will compete for the top three overall finalists to represent the country at the Regional Finals, to face-off against the top players from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. The top two slots will be made up of the champions from the Sporting Class and Junior Class, while the third slot will go to the runner-up from either class with the highest number of points at the end of the National Finals.

Aside from representing the Philippines at the Regional Finals, the champions of both classes will also receive P100,000 each, while the runner-ups from both classes will receive P75,000 each. Additionally, all National Finalists can also look forward to cash prizes and official Gazoo Racing merch. To all interested participants, Toyota is also encouraging you to join the official Facebook group. Will you be joining this year’s sim racing tournament?
