The Department of Transportation recently announced that rehabilitation works on three EDSA Busway stations are finally complete. Commuters can enjoy updated facilities at the North Avenue, Monumento, and Bagong Barrio stops.
Like other refurbished stations, these locations now feature wider platforms, better lighting, and more comfortable waiting areas. Signage around the station has also been improved, including the fare matrix and information displays.
While the stations now offer tactile paving and new railings, the DOTr mentioned that the elevators are not yet operational. Hopefully, those will be up and running soon.

Construction for the three stations kicked off in August 2025, as the first phase in the larger EDSA Busway Rehabilitation Project. To complete this chapter, renovation on the Guadalupe Station is ongoing and should be completed within the year.
The second phase will see three new stations added to the EDSA Busway system. These will be in Cubao, Magallanes, and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange. The overall rehabilitation project is expected to finish by year’s end—though it was originally scheduled to conclude by mid-2026.
Looking ahead, the DOTr is working to secure a P1.756 billion budget for the continued operations and improvement of the EDSA Busway in 2027. The agency’s proposal has already been approved by the House of Representatives. Watch this space for the latest updates.
