The Land Transportation Office (LTO) says the country’s motor vehicle license plate backlog is no longer an issue. Motorcycle license plates, though, are apparently a different matter.

During a recent press conference, LTO Plates Unit officer-in-charge Nivette Amber Pastorite shared that all pending applications for motor vehicle plates have already been addressed.

“Sa ngayon, sa motor vehicle we have no more backlog,” she said.

Pastorite, however, added that the agency still needs to work on addressing its motorcycle license plate backlog.

“A lot of the backlogs come from the motorcycle plates,” the official stressed, also saying that the backlog should be addressed by the LTO’s 21 new printers.

She also added that the LTO currently has a proposal to acquire an additional 365 license card printers in the pipeline—no doubt part of the LTO’s plans to have the country’s backlog on driver’s license renewals addressed by next month.

So, are any of you guys still waiting on your license plates or license cards? Let us know how long in the comments section.
