Motorists can now settle their NCAP violations on the eGovPH app

The app will also give you a detailed listing of your violation

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) have announced that no-contact apprehension (NCAP) violations are now accessible on the eGovPH app.

Through the online platform, motorists can view their violations and settle each one via cashless payments. From the demonstration presented, the payment options include bank transfers, credit and debit cards, and e-wallets. Transactions will be processed in real time, and motorists should see their violations settled shortly after receiving a payment confirmation.

The demonstration, however, did not reveal any way of disputing a violation. It looks like motorists will still need to use the separate e-contest platform for additional reviews and complaints.

With that, the payment and viewing channels are now live, and motorists can access them on the app. After opening eGovPH, they will need to register their vehicle by inputting unit-specific information. The app also allows owners to instead scan their certificate of registration.

Single eGovPH accounts can accommodate multiple vehicles, and several violations can be paid in a single transaction. The platform will also show motorists how much they owe in total for NCAP tickets.

Since the policy returned in May 2025, the MMDA has been diligent in digitizing its end-to-end process. The agency launched the ‘MayHuliKa’ website to allow vehicle owners to check their violations, while the previously mentioned e-contest platform was rolled out shortly after.

There were also talks about a proprietary NCAP app, but at the same time, the DICT also discussed its integration with the eGovPH platform. Now that the latter has been realized, it should be easier for motorists to settle their violations.
