Remember when overnight parking rates at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport shot up to P1,200 per night effective October last year? Comments on social media agreed that the higher rates would weed out the parked vehicles of non-travelers from the airport’s carparks, but the pricing was too prohibitive even for legit travelers.
One of the proposed solutions was simply to offer a lower rate for air travelers: They would just need to present their boarding passes alongside their parking tickets to avail themselves of discounted overnight parking. It’s taken 10 months, but New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) is finally implementing this suggestion.

The lower overnight fee for ‘verified travelers’ is 50% of the standard rate. For cars, that means P600 for every 24 hours instead of P1,200, and for motorcycles, that’s P240 for every 24 hours instead of P480. Buses, meanwhile, will be charged P1,200 for every 24 hours instead of P2,400.

“This system allows us to manage parking more efficiently and make sure it’s always accessible for those who truly use the airport,” NNIC said in a social media post.
Air travelers need to follow these steps to get their parking tickets verified:
NAIA overnight parking verification for air travelers
- Keep your ticket after you’ve parked at a NAIA carpark.
- Secure a copy of your boarding pass. The announcement does not state whether the outbound or inbound boarding pass is required; to be safe, make sure to keep both.
- Upon returning, present your parking ticket and boarding pass at the validation counter

Before October 2024, NAIA overnight parking for four-wheeled vehicles was just P300 per day.
Do you think the discounted NAIA overnight parking rates for verified travelers are feasible, and if you’ve stopped parking at NAIA ever since the higher fees were implemented, are these lower rates enough to convince you to start leaving your vehicle at the airport again?
