Small bike on an expressway? That’s nothing new. Many times before it’s happened and gone viral on social media. But that’s just a few—imagine how much more just went undocumented.
There’s a recent incident, however, that’s once again been brought to the public eye, ironically, by the erring motorcycle rider himself. A guy with the page Celmar V2 on Facebook allegedly took footage of himself going into the South Luzon Expressway on purpose astride his 250cc bike, which is 150cc lower than the minimum requirement on major tollways.
The worst part was that he made the effort to edit it into what he thinks is a funny video and shared it on social media. Authorities eventually caught onto him, and now the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has started its investigation and summoned this rider to explain his side of the story.

In a phone call with ABS-CBN News, the content creator said his mistake was that it was a 400cc bike he was riding and not an actual 250cc motorcycle but he called it the latter. Perhaps in an effort to make it go viral, which it did, to be fair.
“Ang pagkakamali ko, siyempre, bilang vlogger tayo, kailangan natin ng content so—hindi ko naman alam na magte-trending yung video. Sinabi ko doon na 250cc yung dala ko kahit hindi naman. Nagsisisi po tayo dahil mali nga yun e, mali yung ginawa ko na maaaring gayahin ng iba.”
At least he was apologetic, no? Of course, I did some digging, and I discovered that this guy does have multiple Kawasaki Ninjas in his garage. The POVs of the 250cc ZX-25R and the 400cc ZX-4RR do look identical, so I couldn’t really tell whether or not he was telling the truth just by scouring his page. I suppose we’ll have to wait for what authorities will say about this in the coming weeks or so.
Anyway, you know how the saying goes, right? “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.” He hit the jackpot on this one.
