While we're still waiting for Motor Image Pilipinas (Subaru's distributor in our market) to bring the BRZ here, we can at least fantasize about what we can do with it by playing with its online configurator at Subaru.com.
Sure, the BRZ's configurator may not be as detailed as that of, say, Ferrari for its 458 Spider and F12 Berlinetta, but it at least clues us in on what we can expect of the two-door Japanese sports coupe once it reaches our shores.
Based on what's listed on the site, the BRZ will be available--at least in the US market--in either Premium or Limited trim, with the latter getting leather and Alcantara-trimmed upholstery, a rear spoiler, foglights and keyless entry and start system. All that goes on top of the Premium trim's voice-activated GPS navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio system, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
According to the site, while the BRZ’s interior is only available in black leather, it'll be available with up to seven exterior colors from Subaru's signature WR Blue Pearl to Dark Gray Metallic to Satin White Pearl. If you’re a prankster, you could even order it in Lightning Red, which is a lighter shade of red compared to the darker hue that its twin Toyota 86 or Scion FR-S will use. The site also reveals that although the BRZ will come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, an optional six-speed automatic is also available.
