Toyota expands typhoon-assistance promo

Here's a bit of good news for non-Toyota owners
Nov 24, 2009

Non-Toyota owners whose vehicles were damaged by the recent typhoons may now purchase a brand-new vehicle with a discount under the Toyota Motor Philippines' typhoon-assistance program.

Potential buyers may choose between Toyota Philippines' pay cash and pay low schemes for car purchases until November 30.

Toyota Philippines offers the Vios, Innova, Yaris, Avanza, Hilux , Altis, Hiace, Fortuner, RAV4 and Camry with a special discount ranging from P25,000 to P60,000, depending on the model, for the pay cash scheme.

Vehicles may also be bought through the pay low scheme via Toyota Financial Services' lease-to-own program with terms from 24 to 60 months at ten- to 30-percent cash out. To further sweeten the deal, the program comes with an all-in package inclusive of free one-year insurance with Acts of God coverage, LTO registration, and no chattel mortgage. Customers also get a 90-day payment holiday with the first monthly amortization being payable three months after the vehicle's release.

Only customers whose vehicles were flooded from the seat level and above are eligible for Toyota Philippines' typhoon-assistance program. The program is available only at Toyota dealerships in Luzon.

"We have decided to open our special typhoon assistance to all those affected by the recent Typhoons in Metro Manila and Luzon, including non-Toyota owners who are interested to replace their vehicles with select products in our line-up. We understand that many are still waiting for their vehicles to be repaired, or some have decided to just replace their vehicles due to the high cost of repair," Toyota Philippines said.
