Well, Toyota Motor Philippines has given us the spec sheet it'll give away when the compact SUV goes on sale on January 17, 2013, and here is the list of features that differentiate the range-topping 4x4 model from the mid-market, full-option 4x2 variant.
The 4x4 RAV4 gets a roof rail; comes with leather seats with the driver sitting on one that has power slide, recline and lumbar support features; has a net tray and tonneau cover for the cargo area; a 6.1-inch TFT display-equipped audio head unit with a six-speaker system; five airbags; and a reverse sonar.
The 4x2 Full Option, as it is called by TMP, on the other hand, makes do with a "sporty fabric" material for the seats; just a plain tonneau cover; a standard six-speaker audio system; and two airbags.
The features that both the 4x4 and 4x2 Full Option RAV4 carry are the leather-clad shift lever and knob; a leather-covered center-console box with sliding lid; cruise control; keyless entry system; and an automatic air-conditioning system.
So, with the list of features the all-new 4x4 RAV4 has over its competitors, does it warrant the P1.963 million price tag?
