Homegrown lifestyle brand Stance Pilipinas / Manila Fitted (SPMF) has come a long way over the years. From organizing some of the country’s biggest meets, it has established itself as a household name in the car community, and it has even collaborated with brands from outside the Philippines.
In this episode of Cars We Love, we get to take a drive with Kevin Carlos himself, one of the founders of Stance Pilipinas, in his 997-generation Porsche 911.

Kev, as he is also called by his peers, has owned quite a few cars in his lifetime. He’s previously owned an RWB-approved R34 Nissan Skyline GTT (which we’ll talk a bit more about later) and different generations of the Nissan Silvia. He also currently owns a differnt R34 GT-R, as well as a beautiful Mercedes-Benz 190E. But like most enthusiasts, for Kev, this 911 is one of the O.G. dream cars.

Unlike some of the other cars Kev has owned, this 997 isn’t built as wild. It’s in mostly stock condition. As with most project cars, it has a few quirks here and there, but the most important things in check: It starts with one click. And it has A/C.

During our drive, we also got to talk about the humble beginnings of Stance Pilipinas / Manila Fitted and how it has grown into the brand that it is today. Not to spoil too much, but I also want to highlight a full circle moment during this shoot: We ended the video talking about one of Kev’s old R34s that was previously featured in the Top Gear Philippines magazine. Little did we know that the very issue the said car was featured in was No. 150, which had the cover ‘Cars We Love.’ It’s the exact same issue where we got the name of this series from. Chills.
Anyway, you can just click on the embedded video below to see the full video. You can also check out more photos of Kev’s 911 by scrolling on further below. Enjoy!
