Japan is a haven for all things cars, and it’s where you’ll find some of the cleanest, meanest builds you’ll ever come across. Car culture is so big in Japan, and that’s why it’s no surprise that it also hosts some of the biggest automotive gatherings and motor shows in the world.
One of said gatherings is Wekfest Japan, an event that originated from the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States. Basically, it’s a showcase of custom cars, and if you like stance, then you’re in the right place. Unfortunately, Top Gear Philippines wasn’t able to go this year (maybe next time). Luckily, though, our friend Alex Lim—whom many of you know as BanaweBoy—was at the show, and he was generous enough to send us a bunch of photos. And by a bunch, we mean a whole bunch of ’em.

We don’t blame him, because Wekfest looks crazy. It’s like Tokyo Auto Salon, but pick out some of the nicest, cleanest cars you see and stuff them together in one hall in Nagoya. There are endless GT-Rs—from R32s to R35s—Supras, Celicas, S2000s, and Lancer Evos around the show floor.
There are even luxury cars like the Range Rover Velar. Supercars, including a number of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, were also on display. Like we said, it’s pretty wild, and words won’t do these justice. We’ll just leave you with Banaweboy’s photos and you can browse through this gallery yourself.
Mind you, this is just the Wekfest show proper. From what we’ve been seeing on social media, the events surrounding this look like a whole lot of fun as well, just like during TAS weekend. Fingers crossed that one day, we can make it here, too.
