Check out this 2005 Ford GT—it’s one of only 2,022 produced for the specific model year. It’s not exactly the rarest of unicorns, is it? Probably. Still, there’s one thing here that definitely piqued our interest: This 15-year-old sports car only has 402 kilometers on it.
We came across this gem being auctioned off on BringATrailer.com, and suffice to say that this thing is definitely a winner. It looks like it just rolled out the dealership, with an incredibly pristine exterior matched with an equally clean interior complete with plastic covers. We have to admit that the cabin design looks a bit dated, but we also have to remember that this is a car that’s more than a dozen years old.
And while this Ford was barely driven over the course of its existence, it still runs like a dream, mind you. That mid-mounted 5.4-liter V8 capable of 550 horses and 677Nm still sounds as glorious as the day it was born, and we reckon that the six-speed manual gearbox mated to it runs just as smooth.
No mention whether or not modifications were made, but we can probably guess that everything here was kept bone-stock, from the 18-inch wheels up front and the 19-inchers out back to those Brembo brake discs and all the way to that plastic-covered interior.
Like we said, this Ford GT is up for bidding. As it stands, the current bid is at $315,000, or more than P15 million in local currency. For that amount, you get the car plus all the supporting documents including Carfax reports.
What do you think of this Ford GT? Would you be willing to pay big bucks for it if you had the cash?
