You’ve already read about Harold Baggott’s story. He’s the centenarian who was able to try out the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Now, meet Pedro Garcia, an 87-year-old who didn’t just test-drive Ford’s new EV—he actually owns one.
Garcia has owned multiple Ford vehicles over the years, and has developed close ties with his local dealership Auto Christian in Alicante, Spain. When the Mustang Mach-E arrived in the region, Garcia was among those who were given first dibs.
The dealer helped him learn his way around the car and accompanied him during the transition. Miguel Estrela, a salesperson at the dealership, shared that Garcia was able to quickly master the EV.
The dealer also installed a wall box in Garcia’s home so he no longer needs to go to the gas station to recharge his car. According to him, it’s the best part about owning a Mustang Mach-E.
This man’s story shows the younger generation that anyone can make the switch to electric vehicles, even if it’s someone “with a lifetime of gasoline-powered habits behind him.” If you want to see more, you can check out the short clip below.
