Last year, we put together a few lists of cars you can buy for X amount of pesos per month. But as you all know, thanks to the Tax Reform Package for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, the market landscape in 2018 is very different.
The result is that most vehicle segments are now more expensive, including subcompact crossovers. These little SUVs have been selling well over the last few years, so we thought we'd put together this list updated of models you can get for a relatively affordable price. Each one here, with their post-TRAIN figures, are available at around P18,000 or less per month. Surprisingly, not all of them are base variants. Some are even top-of-the-line.
We calculated these monthly payments using the BPI Auto Loan calculator. Each calculation is based on a 20% down payment and a five-year loan term. Happy car shopping!
