If you’re reading this, then you it’s more than likely you’ve heard that the Ford Bronco is finally coming to the Philippines. In case you missed it, it was confirmed none other by the company.

It was one heck of a way to kick off 2024, and Ford will soon open up reservations for the SUV. That being said, there is no mention of the variant (or variants) to be offered just yet. So, what could it be? Let’s explore the lineup based on US specifications.

Ford Bronco

Over in its home market, the Bronco is available in two body styles (three-door or five-door), three powertrain options (2.3-liter EcoBoost, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6), and nine trim levels. Add it all together and there can be as much as 50 variations of the 4x4. In some ways then, you can think of the Bronco as a supersized Jimmy in terms of factory customization.

The range kicks off with the Big Bend, followed by the Black Diamond edition that adds skid plates, beefier tow hooks, and rock sliders. Moving up the list is the Outer Banks model which throws in more goodies such as LED lighting and plusher seats.

Ford Bronco 2023 retro look and steel-look wheels

In terms of pricing and positioning, there are two variants that serve as the mid-spec models. These are the Badlands and the Heritage Edition. As you might have guessed, the Heritage Edition amps up the retro cues with old-school touches in and out plus a special set of dampers. The Badlands on the other hand loses the classic appearance but gains an electronic front stabilizer bar disconnect system.

For those with trailing in mind, there’s the Everglades model. It comes with a snorkel, a set of steel bumpers, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, and even a winch. One up from that is the Wildtrak that throws in the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 standard under the hood. At the top of the ‘regular’ models is the Heritage Limited Edition that adds even more classic vibes.

Ford Bronco Raptor

At the top of the Ford Bronco food chain sits the Raptor. The most powerful and loaded Bronco yet, it comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, special active suspension, steel bumpers, bash plates, and more. Under the hood and under the chassis, it gets several exclusive features not seen in the standard variants.

So, what could it be? There’s a good chance that we might get the five-door model, but we’re not discounting the possibility of the three-door being offered, too. In terms of spec, we might be looking somewhere in the middle, something like the Outer Banks or the Badlands. Of course, Ford could surprise us all by offering the Raptor here. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for that.
