The new Ford Mustang is even better with the top down

Enter the convertible

The Ford Mustang has always been a car geared for thrills. That's probably why it's the world's best-selling sports coupe right now, and has been for three years running. There's no denying that it's a modern-day icon.

We were all excited when this muscle car made its way to our shores in 2015. This year, Ford Philippines unveiled the refreshed version at the Manila International Auto Show. The fastback received some tweaks here and there, but it was the new variant that piqued our interest. It was the same car, sure, but with one significant difference: It came with a soft top.

So what's it like cruising around Metro Manila in a convertible muscle car? Well, like we said, it's still the same old 'Stang--loud, brash, and in-your-face. It attracts attention wherever it goes, and makes no apologies for its presence. This effect is amplified when you unlock the plastic handle and hold down the switch for the roof. Before you know it, you're rollin' in your 5.0 with the rag top down so your hair can blow. Sorry, we couldn't help the tito reference.
