Bless the Internet, because we’ve come across yet another interesting build in the realm of YouTube. This is a heavily modded Nissan NP300 Navara from Malaysia that was recently featured on the Galeri Kereta channel, and it could easily be the most beastly Navara you’ll see today.
Rugged with the monster wheels
First things first, the looks. According to the owner, Rafique Isam, this truck sports a green finish derived from the Toyota C-HR. It sits on offset 22-inch wheels clad in what seem to be low-profile, mud-terrain tires. The rims also read ‘off-road’ so we reckon this thing can still handle dirt regardless of what its looks suggest.
The body was mostly kept as is, save for the front bumper that was supposedly trimmed to cut some weight. The stock suspension was also retained, albeit fitted with a two-inch lift kit. The owner says he plans to modify the setup in the future to improve the truck’s cornering.
The Navara’s 160hp 2.5-liter turbodiesel was retained, but thanks to some tweaks here and there—a few movements in the engine bay to improve airflow plus a new ECU—its power output is up to 226hp. The pickup’s aftermarket wheels are said to be significantly heavier, so this power boost makes up for that.
Other customizations include the smoked taillights and the blue underbody lights that are actually hard to miss. The interior, meanwhile, sees no major changes. Isam shares that he plans to get a widebody kit for his truck, so we won’t be surprised if we see a completely different version of this truck a few years from now. Maybe it’ll end up looking like Kei Miura’s badass Hilux.
Anyway, what do you think of this custom Nissan Navara? You can click play on the video below to see more of the truck. Enjoy.
