The Toyota Tamaraw has been making noise non-stop since before it even arrived here in our market. And now that it’s here, a lot of people have been looking to get a piece of it. For many varying reasons.
One such person is moto vlogger Benedict Maniquis who most people know better as MotoDeck. Everybody’s favorite truepa recently shared on Facebook that he just took delivery of his brand-new Tamaraw.
MotoDeck competes in different motorcycling events across the country and brings along his bikes with him, which is why opting to get a Toyota Tamaraw Dropside makes perfect sense. In his video, he shared that he thinks the bed could fit three of his bikes—we’re assuming he’s talking about his small-displacement race bikes.

It appears what MotoDeck got was a Tamaraw Dropside GL which has a longer wheelbase than the standard model. It has a 2,647mm long bed and a payload capacity of 1,110kg. This top-spec Tamaraw is powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel that’s mated to a six-speed automatic that sends all 150hp and 400Nm of torque to the rear wheels. This specific variant stickers for P1.075 million.
In case it’s still up for debate among some of you, we’ll clarify that this isn’t banned on the Skyway. MotoDeck shared in the comments that he just drove his Tamaraw back to the metro all the way from Batangas without any problems whatsoever, and he even got his new truck some RFIDs. Nice.
