As far as cartoon cars go, few if any are as iconic as the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo. Flowery wheel caps, groovy paint job, and rounded headlights? The thing is as classic as TV rides come.
While not as memorable as the Hanna-Barbera series’ version based on the Volkswagen LT40, the 2002 film’s take featuring a Bedford CF van is a favorite among those of us who watched the movie as kids. This? Well, this isn’t it. That’s really Shaggy in the image, though.

Airbnb and Matthew Lillard, who played the lovable Shaggy in the movie and is now claiming to be possessed by the cartoon character’s spirit, are now renting out the Mystery Machine in Malibu, California. Again, technically, this is just an old Chevrolet van dressed up to look like the vehicle—but it definitely looks the part.

So, what does less than $50 a night get you? The answer is not too much, if we’re being honest. The rear of the van has been converted into a cozy hippie-themed sleeping area complete with a lava lamp, and there’s a tiny television inside. But hey, at least Wi-Fi is included.

On the plus side, you get a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and ocean, as well as a Southern California breeze.
Interested? You better get to booking because the listing says there are only slots for June 16, 24, 25, and 26. Oh, and monsters and masked villains aren’t included during your stay, apparently. Zoinks!
