Your heart is pounding like it's about to jump out of your chest. You're short of breath, and you experience tunnel vision, seeing only what's in front of you. No, you're not about to knock on the door of your first date's home. This is your first time to take out your new 4WD pride and joy.

No amount of mental conditioning can spare you from the angst and fear of damaging your off-roader after months of preparation and spending--no matter what your budget is, even with a professional off-road driving instructor. So congratulations is already in order for your stepping up.

In this video, we hope to introduce you to the most common mistakes made by the newbie off-roader. We don’t expect you to not make these  errors, but we hope that you at least minimize whatever danger you are putting yourself and your ride into, whether your 4WD is for commercial/industrial applications or recreational/motorsports. The applications may have some differences, but the basics are all the same.

So good luck, tread lightly, and happy trails to all of you who are about to embark on this new adventure!
