Here’s a question to the married couples out there: To celebrate your milestones
Now, don’t look away—you’re still on TopGear.com.ph, don’t worry. We only ask because there’s a senior couple in the UK who just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, and they bought a brand-new Porsche 911 to mark the occasion.
Porsche Centre Bournemouth shared a photo of Mr. and Mrs. Evans posing in front of what appears to be a 911 GT3 in a beautiful shade of Oak Green Metallic Neo. One of my personal favorite colors, if you don’t mind me sharing. The 911 GT3 is also spec’d with silver centerlock wheels, and even if we don’t see most of the car, we know it’s absolutely gorgeous.

We went ahead to the Porsche website to configure a 911 GT3 similar to what the Evans couple got, just to give everyone an idea of what their new car looks like. According to some other social media posts referring to this one, the Evanses are a 92-year-old couple.
A commenter on the original Facebook post also shared how he sold the same couple an Audi TTS in 2015, and they drove around Norway on six-week road trip. While we have no way to verify whether or not that information is true, we’ll just choose to believe it, anyway.
These two old chaps will likely not push their new Porsche 911 GT3 anywhere remotely near the car’s limits and use up all of the 500-plus-horses that it has, but it doesn’t matter. They’ve worked hard for this (and their marriage), and as long as they still get to enjoy it in whatever way they can, we can only be happy for them.
