After sitting idly in a forest for 20 years, an abandoned Porsche 911 Targa was given a second lease on life thanks to Ammo NYC.

Thankfully, whoever left the Porsche to sit alone with the trees at least had the mindfulness to lay over a few covers to keep it sheltered. However, that didn’t stop mold, debris, and quite a few spiderwebs from forming over the past two decades. The boys over at Ammo NYC really had their work cut out for them, but it was a labor of love nonetheless.

After finding the 911 Targa cloaked in the forest, their plan was to get it back into running shape with the first step being a proper deep clean. However, they wanted to keep as many of the original parts as possible, including the rusted nuts and bolts.

It took a lot of elbow grease and a few love taps to take everything apart for a proper scrub-down. Watching just how rusty and grimy the 911 Targa was broke our car-loving hearts, but soon enough, it started to look like a road-ready Porsche once again.

The video also showcases the sheer quality of the materials that make up a Porsche. The floor carpets were caked in mold and dirt, but after a proper wash, they looked as fluffy as they would have 20 years ago. The same goes for the yellow paint—it looked a bit faded and had oxidized, but a couple of buffs later, it shined like it was brand-new.

That said, our favorite part might have been the seat cleaning and restoration. The perches, though extremely filthy, had no visible tears or peeling. And so, after a good wash and steaming, you finally see and appreciate just how beautifully the brown leather seats aged.

We highly recommend you watch the full video and see the transformations for yourself.
