A Peugeot 205 GTI once owned by occasional actor and full-time, professional petrolhead Rowan Atkinson is coming up for auction, and goodness, it’s a honey.
Despite showing more than 114,000km (71,000 miles) to its name, Atkinson only covered around 480km (300 miles) in this ‘Phase 1.5’ version. So its Alpine White Exterior, pepper-pot alloys and pretty much everything else looks about as mint as Johnny English’s tuxedo collection.

We reckon the same mantra follows through to its 1.6-litre four-pot, which should still push close to the original 115bhp, 9.8s 0-62 time and 121mph top speed offered when new. Those numbers may not sound like much, but given the GTI weighs about 850kg, you can make sense of why this is considered to be one of the all-time great hot hatches.

But where this particular example gains the lion’s share of brownie points is the interior. From the red-striped cloth seats and velour carpeting to the button-clad central reservation and in-yer-face steering wheel, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s fresh out of a Peugeot dealer's forecourt.

No guide price has been listed as yet, but considering most clean examples hover between the P1.5-2.2 million (£20,000-30,000) range, our best guess sits there. Perhaps throwing a (partially torn) teddy bear and a ticket to Cannes in will help sweeten the deal?
