There are two separate levels to falling in love with a used car being sold online. The first is the kind that makes you actually take a peek at your finances. The second makes you question if you really need two kidneys to have a happy life.
The first is that this particular unit being sold is just one of 87 units finished in this color, greatly increasing its rarity. And judging by the images, this vehicle has been kept in excellent condition despite the 164,283km on its odometer.
It also packs its original 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 6G74 engine under the hood—the same mill that propelled Mitsubishi to numerous wins in the Dakar Rally’s T2 class back in the day. You’ll also find a tuned suspension, 16-inch wheels, Recaro racing seats, and an over-the-top body kit that gives this Pajero an incredibly race-worth vibe.
Lastly, the listing describes this as the “ultimate 4x4 JDM unicorn.” Now, that could be a stretch considering the claim is casting a very wide net—but many people agree, apparently. So much so that the current highest bid now sits at a cool $50,000 (a little over P2.55 million).
Yes, we know that Mitsubishi is currently attempting to bring excitement back to its lineup. But the chances the brand will ever produce something as cool as the Mitsubishi Pajero Evo again may be slim.
If we had the money, we’d pull the trigger on this buy in a heartbeat. Then again, we can probably say the same about half of all the listings we come across on the Internet. Are you in the same boat as we are?
