Sometimes, there are random burning questions that just need to be answered. Whether it’s silly, scientific, or both, the human mind is always curious about, well something.
In this case, we stumbled upon a question we’d thought no one would ever ask: What is more aerodynamic? A loaf of bread or a classic Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series?

That question was posed by Premiere Aerodynamics. The YouTube channel specializes in automotive aerodynamics. It explains the intricacies of aero, as well as answering some of the sillier aspects of it.
The channel managed to explain which one is more aerodynamic in a thorough manner. As for the answer, it may, or may not, surprise you. Check out the video below.

To oversimplify it, the load of bread slices through the air better than a classic Toyota Land Cruiser. The drag coefficient of the bread was a blocky 0.57Cd, but it pales in comparison to the 40 Series at 0.67Cd. It, perhaps literally, has the aerodynamics of a barn.

For comparison, the modern Land Cruiser 300 has a drag coefficient of 0.36Cd. While not the most aero car in the world, it’s an impressive figure given the size and surface area of the large SUV. Advances in technology have sure come a long way.
So the next time you have an odd question in mind, don’t think there’s no answer for it. The internet’s filled with answers to questions that have yet to be asked.
