We were recently invited for a ride-and-drive event by Berjaya Auto Philippines, the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country. Expecting just another road trip, we brought along a videographer to capture the refreshing scenery and fun activities in Batangas.
Little did we know that on this road trip, Mazda Philippines would officially make available its first Skyactiv-D models in the country: the CX-5 and the 6. So how was the drive like?
"It still feels like a regular 6," writer Patrick Tadeo observed. "The refinement is that of a gasoline engine." It's actually better, because it has more torque at 420Nm.
For more first impressions of the diesel-powered 6 and CX-5, watch the video. And stay tuned for our proper test drives of these vehicles.
