Retro motoring apparel are a dime a dozen these days, and it’s easy to see why. As with old-school cars, we reckon a lot of drivers are longing for the good old days of pure combustion engines and manual-winding windows.
If you’re into old-school style, and if Honda is a brand that you hold close to your heart, we’ve come across something on the Internet that might be of interest to you. Honda Vintage Culture—a store that specializes in, well, vintage Honda culture—has come up with some neat clothing items that pay tribute to the Japanese manufacturer’s 1983 Formula 1 return.
If you’ll recall, the company was a constant presence in Formula 1 during the mid ’60s, before Jo Schlesser’s tragic accident in one of its cars caused the brand to pull out following the 1968 season. It would be 15 years before Honda returned to the grid in 1983, and what would follow was a successful run of Constructor’s Championships and wins from 1984 to 1991.
The Honda Vintage Culture Formula 1 apparel is available as a shirt, polo, and even a hoodie. All three come sporting the brand’s logos and branding, as well as a red, white, and blue color scheme. The company is also selling a vintage Honda Formula 1 sticker you can slap onto your ride, too.
The tee costs $36 (P1,800), while the polo carries a $50 (P2,500) price tag. A sticker costs $12 (P600), and the hoodie is currently listed as ‘coming soon’ on the official Honda Vintage Culture website. Interested?
