Tumi and McLaren fans were in for a treat when the lifestyle brand and the supercar marque released a new collection earlier this year. Now, the collab continues as the two roll out yet another set of travel apparel.
There are nine new products in total. Highlighting the lineup is the Halo Backpack and the M-Tech Soft Satchel. The former is designed to fit a 14-inch laptop and some accessories, and also has a built-in USB port for on-the-go charging. The latter is a portable bag that offers “a certain ease as well as a flexibile packing capacity and universal appeal.”
There are also three compact carriers. The universal Brox Slim Utility Pouch pictured above is for everyday essentials. The Fuel Crossbody offers hands-free wearability and can be worn across the body or around the waist. The versatile Remex Accessory Kit, meanwhile, is small enough to bring on vacations, to the gym, or to the office.
Completing the set are a global double billfold, a passport cover, and a folding card case. All products here feature leather and metal trim, carbon-fiber accents, and papaya highlights, as well as Tumi and McLaren branding.
“The shared ethos of technical innovation, high-quality materials and cutting-edge design behind the Tumi and McLaren brands is what makes this collaboration such a natural fit,” said design director for McLaren Automotive Rob Melville. “We both seek to elevate the customer experience through optimum performance. These additional pieces are all about making those moments of travel and reconnection, that we’ve all been yearning for, truly special.”
“Following the success of our first drop with McLaren, we remain in everlasting pursuit of best-in-class design excellence,” Tumi creative director Victor Sanz. “Our incredible journey as collaborators evolved as we explored ways in which we could further develop the collection. As a result, we purposely set out to ensure we were connecting with all levels of customers this season. Our shared goal is to give everyone an opportunity to engage with this amazing collaboration.
“We are delighted to launch a brand-new lineup of products from the Tumi x McLaren collaboration. The synergy across both our brands comes from our strive for excellence in everything we do, and this collection embodies that excellence.”
