Alternative mobility solutions started growing in popularity in light of the pandemic. We’re talking about e-bikes and the like. But post COVID-19, they’ve continued to thrive, and it’s a clear indicator that they’re here to stay. This is why it’s now important to see what’s happening in our region in this space.
There’s an expo coming up in our neighboring country of Indonesia, and it’ll let us see exactly that: Asiabike Jakarta 2025. Now on its second iteration, ABJ is a major showcase of sustainable mobility in our continent.

ABJ features a wide range of products focusing on three key themes: “E-evolution,” “E-mobility,” and ‘Lifestyle Cycling.” It aims to highlight the latest in renewable energy solutions including e-bikes, e-scooters, electric motorcycles, and advanced battery solutions. There will also be the addition of the new electric three-wheelers (E3Ws) zone at ABJ this year.

Chinese manufacturers are expected to have a strong presence at ABJ 2025. China’s leading EV production hub Jiangsu province will be represented by two dedicated pavilions organized by the Jiangsu International Trade Promotion Center: one from Wuxi which specializes in electric two-wheelers and the other from Xuzhou which specializes in E3Ws.
Xishan, a district in Wuxi, is dubbed as the ‘hometown of two-wheeled electric vehicles’ and is home to six of China’s top 10 EV manufacturers. There also will be high-performance EV models from Xishan on display at ABJ 2025. E3Ws, meanwhile, are also emerging as essential transport solutions, so we’ll also be seeing a good chunk of those at the upcoming show.

“We are excited to introduce our e-motorcycle advancements in Indonesia, including a new private model scooter that reflects our strong R&D capabilities,” said Jiangsu Zhongxing Motorcycle Co business manager Stanley Luo. “The show offers valuable opportunities for us to gather feedback, track market trends, and refine our design and pricing strategies. After last year’s successful participation, we look forward to strengthening our local sales network and our presence in Southeast Asia, as well as fostering deeper industry collaboration through this well-known industry event.”
“We are thrilled to participate in this important event for the green mobility industry and introduce our latest E2Ws, E3Ws, and new energy transportation solutions to buyers from Indonesia and beyond,” said Jigansu Jinpeng Group Co Ltd sales manager Kevin Zhang.
